The Haagen-Dazs Company was set up by a young enterpriser by the name of Reuben Mattus whose sole objective of producing the best ice-creams with the freshest and finest ingredients.
Reuben Mattus from an early age was already involved in the ice-cream business of his mother, selling ice cream sodas and fruit ice from a horse driven cart in the busy thoroughfare of Bronx in New York. Thus, the legacy of this family ice-cream business was carried over till the 1930s, 40s and 50s until Reuben Mattus and his wife established a new company. They named it Haagen-Dazs .
Initially, Haagen-Dazs started its operation with three flavors – coffee, vanilla and chocolate and soon within a span of few years, the brand's popularity reached every corner of the world. The extra-ordinary recipes of his ice-creams featured hand-picked beans of Vanilla from Madagascar and Belgium's dark chocolate.
The timeless ice-cream bars were first introduced to the world by
