YOUNG ADULT FAIRY TALES

Young adult fairy tales are relished by teens who have enjoyed the fairy tales as a kid. Young adult literature deals with the issues of adolescence and coming of age and hence the young adult fairy tales are targeted for young readers. The young adult fairy tales comprises the emotional turmoil which a young adult encounters in this age, but even they need a light hearted space to joke at their world and break loose from the serious issues of contemporary life in flights of fantasy.

Young adult fairy tales are broken or “ fractured ” versions of the old tales written to befit an adolescent's sensibility and imagination. Through these fairy tales a young adult can identify with life's experience, enlighten and learn from the various perceptions of the protagonist and enlarge and widen one's self.
