STATE BOOK AWARDS

State Book Awards are the awards presented by individual States or Regions to the magnificent creation of authors of that state or region. State Book Awards specially recognize the writing aptitude of the local authors.

State Book Awards are awarded for many categories that include fiction, non-fiction, children literature, poetry and the list continues. The awards are conducted either annually or twice a year according to the tradition of the award.

The major criteria for nomination to these awards are a regional residency of that region. The work has to be in complete form and mainly written in regional language that can best contribute to a greater understanding among the peoples of that region.

The awards differ for different states but posses a common goal to encourage writing dexterity. Few state awards of different countries include:
