CHILDREN’S BOOK AWARDS

Children's Book Awards are an encouragement to keep up the good work on children book category. The achievers of children's book awards are excellent in dealing with children books and literature. Canadian Awards incorporates CLA Book of the Year for children book and Governor General's Awards. CLA Book of the Year for children book came into existence in 1947. This award comprises of a medal presented annually to the author of the best children's book published in Canada. The basic criterion for the eligibility of the award is a citizenship or possessing a resident certificate of Canada.
