Tamarindo is one of the most frequented cities in Costa Rica. There are
flights to Tamarindo, connecting the various domestic terminals and some of the international terminals in the world. There are not many internationally renowned airlines that have
flights to Tamarindo. The few airlines include the following:
- SANSA Airlines
- Nature Air
- CAL Cargo Airlines
Tamarindo flights have helped in establishing communication between the various domestic destinations in the country. Some of the airlines also provide cheap flights to Tamarindo. The various terminals within Costa Rica from where there are domestic flights to Tamarindo are Punta Islita, Quepos, Liberia, Puerto Jimenez, Fortuna, Palmar and San Jose. Nature Air and SANSA Airlines operate majority of these flights.
There are very few international flights to Tamarindo directly. There is a regular flight to Tamarindo from Bocas Del Toro, which is operated by Nature Air. Most of the international flights arrive at the more important international airports in Costa Rica and are then connected to Tamarindo via several domestic flights.
Tamarindo in Costa Rica extends latitudinally and longitudinally from 10º 25' 60" north to 85º 16' 0" west respectively. There are many cities and towns in close proximity to Tamarindo, like Catalina, El Cortes, Mojica, Ciruelas, Bebedero, Agua Caliente, Montenegro and Palo Verde.
There are various places of tourist attractions in Tamarindo. The major attractions of Costa Rica are its pristine beaches. There are innumerable beaches in the country and also in Tamarindo that have allured tourists since ages. There are also several national parks and wildlife reserves in Tamarindo. Baulas of Guanacaste Marine National Park, Tamarindo Beach, Grande Beach and World of the Turtle are the most interesting places in Tamarindo in Costa Rica.
