Wasaya Airways is the regional and domestic airlines based in Northern Ontario. Established in 1989, is Canada's first owned domestic airline offering scheduled flights and charter service in Red Lake as well as in Timmins. The services of Wasaya airways has increased manifold in recent years as has started its operation as a float plane and now handles charter and scheduled flights.
During the late 1980's Wasaya airways diversified the float plane operation to turbine fleet operation and again in 1995 the airline expanded its operation to scheduled passenger services. By 2001 Wasaya airways tied up new partnership with various organizations and started providing contract transport services.
