The DAT Danish Air Transport has its base located at Vamdrup in Denmark. Its main airbase hub is Vamdrup Kolding Airport or the EKVD. Some of the other important hubs are the Florø Airport, Esbjerg Airport, and Copenhagen Airport.
Established in the year 1989, the DAT Danish Air Transport was meant to be a cargo airline but ventured into new projects like ferrying live horses and supplies, especially during the Paris Dakar Rally in Africa. Another subsidiary airline is that of the Vildanden. 60% of the DAT Danish Air Transport share is owned by the Rungholm family and the rest 40% is shared by some of the major private investors.
