Capital Airlines was set up in 1993. It is a licensed company under the Civil Aviation Board of Kenya. Capital Airlines has its hub at the Wilson Airport in Nairobi, Kenya. The task of the maintenance of Capital Airlines is undertaken by Phoenix Aviation Limited, which is an associate company of the former. The company primarily focuses on operating domestic and chartered flights. Along with this Capital Airlines services include Humanitarian Relief flights, cargo transportation and Medivac and Air ambulance Services. The cargo flights carry goods to various parts of Sub- Saharan Africa. The chief focus of the airline operations at this point of time is their humanitarian flights which a 24 hour unit is operating throughout the year to offer services to various relief groups. The air ambulance services operate flights to Europe, Africa and Middle East to carry patients for treatment.
