British Mediterranean Airways is a UK based airline. This airline was founded in the year 1994. Since 1997, the airline has been a franchise partner of British Airways. BMED has been using the British Airways livery and flight codes. In 2007, the British Midland Airways Limited acquired BMED. The airline was established by some private investors. The first flight of BMED took off from Heathrow airport to Beirut.
