Viva Macau Airlines had a 5-year tenure stretching from 2005 to 2010. It was based in Macau and closed by a governmental order.

Viva Macau Airlines History

Viva Macau Airlines started to function from 2005 onwards and ended on 28th March 2010. The company was well known for operating long distance flights. The budget carrier was forced to shut down after an order from the regional government that prohibited the fulfilling of a sub-concession deal between Viva Macau and Air Macau. Inadequate assistance to passengers facing flight delays was cited as the main reason.

Viva Macau Airlines Details

Viva Macau Airlines operated from Macau International Airport. It had a couple of Boeing 767-300ERs and a Boeing 767-200ER. During the time of its closing it offered flights to Japan, Indonesia, Macau, Australia and Vietnam. However, it also used to operate flights to Maldives and South Korea.

The Macanese carrier was headquartered at Macau and its slogan read "We mean the world to Macau". Macau Eagle Aviation Services Ltd was the parent company. Chairman Ngan In Leng, board member Kevin McKenzie and CEO Reg McDonald were the most important officials in the company.
