Valuair was set up in 2004 and flew its earliest flight on May 5, 2004. It is owned by Orange Star and it offers flights to 5 South Asian cities – Medan, Surabaya, Jakarta, Singapore and Denpasar.

Valuair is officially referred to as Valuair Limited and is a budget airline operating from Singapore. It was incorporated during 2004 and started off with flights to Bangkok and Hong Kong. The airline was bought by Jetstar Asia Airways in 2005 and is presently operating across prominent cities in Indonesia.
It is based at Singapore Changi Airport and its holding company is Orange Star that was created after the merger between Jetstar and Valuair was announced. Chong Phit Lian is the CEO.
Valuair History
Valuair was the earliest airline to have operated budget services in Singapore. Its first flight came on 5th May 2004 and it was financially supported by local businessmen. An erstwhile employee of Singapore Airlines was its first CEO and his experience played a significant part in its initial phase.
In its earlier stages Valuair offered services such as hot meals for free, allocated seating and additional leg space in order to get an edge over its competitors such as Tiger Airways and Jetstar Asia.
