The brainchild of British Bangladeshi entrepreneurs Air Sylhet is headquartered at London and Vienna. It operates flights to different cities in Europe and Asia. It has also received financial backing from Bangladeshis living in UK.

Air Sylhet was incorporated during 2007 by British businessmen, originally from Sylhet Bangladesh. The company is officially referred to as Air Sylhet AG. It has a couple of headquarters at Vienna and Austria. It is wholly owned by Air Sylhet PLC.
Air Sylhet History
The London based carrier is registered in UK as a public limited company and had plans in 2009 of operating at the AIM stock market. The Bangladeshi people living in UK had also pumped in at least a million pounds into the aviation enterprise.
On May 29, 2008 the company received its AOC and Operating License that enabled it to operate in Austria. It kicked off operations on April 4, 2009 and wet leased from Gadair European Airlines a Boeing 757-200. The route was however called off after a month.

Kabir Khan serves as the manager of the international carrier and Shab Uddin is the Vice President. Kim O’Neil is an important member of the cabin crew. The Director of Finance is Shalim Uddin.
