Set up in 1995 Air Philippines Corporation started with its flights in 1996. The company is presently headquartered in Pasay. With a fleet size of 14 aircraft the low cost Philippine carrier offers flights to Singapore and Hong Kong.
Air Philippines Corporation History
Air Philippines Corporation was established on 13th February 1995. It is also known as Airphil Express and was previously referred to as Air Philippines. Its parent company is PAL Holdings, Inc. At present its chairman is Domingo T Chua and President cum CEO is Peter Y Ong. Cesar M Chiong serves as the Chief Operating Officer and EVP.
Upon its incorporation it was based at Naval Air Station Cubi Point. It flew for the first time on February 1st 1996. A Boeing 737-200 flew between Zamboanga and Subic Bay, Iloilo. Presently its head offices are at Pasay City.
