Air North was incorporated in 1977. It provides ground handling and cargo services in addition to charter and passenger services. It primarily operates within Canada but covers Alaska as well.

As part of its booking services Air North allows passengers to change and cancel their flights, confirm them, look up their schedules and procure their passenger ID numbers. Air North has four major types of aircraft - Hawker Siddeley 748, Boeing 737-500, Boeing 737-400 and Boeing 737-200. It has 1 Boeing 737-500 that can carry 122 passengers and 1 Boeing 737-400 that can accommodate 153 people. There are 3 Boeing 737-200s that can each carry 120 passengers and 4 Hawker Siddeley 748s.
