Solomon Airlines, being the national airline of the archipelago Solomon Islands has served the airports of the country for many years. It is basically a domestic carrier but has now expanded in recent years to offer international services. It links Honiaro with other parts of the world. Founded in the year 1962, by Laurie Crowley, it was initially known as Megapode Airlines. After many years, the airline came to be known Solomon Airlines formally.
