Royal Khmer Airlines History

Royal Khmer was set up during 2000 and it had planned to initiate operations by 2001 but was unable to do so. During October 2003 Malaysia based Asia Aircraft Services decided to purchase it and also employ its operational permit for introducing fresh services.

During 2006 the Ministry of Construction and Transportation of South Korea criticized the airline for its safety measures that were described to be below par. There were several problems with the airline including dysfunctional lights that indicated emergency exits and lack of properly updated guidebooks for getting route related information on the flights.
