New Caledonia has its international airline which is known as
Aircalin. Founded in the year 1983, Aircalin started its operations from the same year. During 1980’s the airline increased its services by starting two new flights from Noumea to Sydney. Later, Aircalin bought its first Boeing 737-300 and also launched its “Hibiscus Class” (the business class of the airlines). Air Caledonia, the domestic carrier of Aircalin, connects several airports situated on Grand Terre.
