Air Botswana has earned a worldwide reputation for its quality and its efficiency. An African airline, Air Botswana operated under government regulation till 1988 and then it became a part of Air Botswana Corporation which functioned under the Ministry of Transport. The IFC played a crucial role in the privatization of Air Botswana. The growth and progress of the airline has been quite rapid and today it runs a number of international and domestic flights.

The fleet of Air Botswana consists of modern aircrafts including three ATR42-500 aircrafts. These are high performance carriers each of which has an accommodation of 26 seats. Besides these three, the fleet also consists of one BAe 146 jet with an accommodation of 78.
