The Boise Airport (BOI) is the hub of air transportation in the city of Boise, from where a number of airlines, charters and air taxis operate round the clock. The Boise Airport is overseen by an Airport Commission as a division of the city of Boise Department of Aviation and Public Transportation. The airport operates 257 aircrafts including 19 jets, 21 helicopters and 47 military aircrafts in addition to commercial aircrafts. In 2005, Boise airport carried no less than 3 million passengers and the aviation business is witnessing steady growth along with continuous expansion of the terminal and its facilities.
