Airline Customer Service Jobs – Duties
Airline customer service agents are also known as passenger service agents or check-in assistants. Airline customer service jobs primarily include checking passengers in, allocating seat numbers, issuing boarding passes and luggage labels, escorting passengers to and from aircraft among host of other such duties. They also deal with passenger inquiries about flight departures and arrivals, and ensure that passengers and baggage board the correct aircraft.
Qualifications and Trainings
One who wants to seek airline customer service jobs must have a high school diploma or college education. Previous experience in working in a customer service role and ability to speak foreign language are always preferred for this job.
Once selected, candidates have to undergo initial training program for four to eight weeks. This program include learning computerized and manual reservation procedures, getting acquainted with proper telephone skills, gaining proper knowledge of emergency and evacuation procedures, and security training.
