Aeroflot is the Russian national airline and Russia's biggest carrier. It is also a member of the Sky Team Alliance. The main hub of Aeroflot is Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow. Aeroflot covers 89 destinations in 47 countries of the world.
Aeroflot Bonus is the Frequent Flyer Program of Aeroflot. Aeroflot Bonus gives a wide range of services and privileges to its customers. As an Aeroflot Bonus member, one can earn a minimum of 500 miles on each flight in Aeroflot-Russian Airlines and their partner airlines. Aeroflot customers between the age group two to twelve are eligible to join the Aeroflot Bonus Junior Program and receive many benefits. Aeroflot miles can be earned by flying in Aeroflot Airlines, by staying in hotels, paying car rentals, using credit cards in bonus clubs etc.
Miles can be earned for awards as well as to attain Elite membership status. Members who earn enough miles in a calendar year are awarded Elite membership status. Aeroflot Bonus members can spend their miles on three types of awards:
- Award Tickets for leisure travel
- Award upgrades for Business Travel
- Partner award certificates for services by Aeroflot Business partners.
Miles can also be redeemed for travel awards for the candidate or for his family, for cabin class up grades and for special awards from program partners.
There are two levels of Elite membership in Aeroflot Bonus
- Silver Level - A candidate requires 25000 miles or 25 flight segments to qualify for Silver level. An additional 25% extra tier bonus is awarded to members in Silver level on all Aeroflot Russian Airline flights.
- Gold Level - A candidate requires 50000 miles or 50 flight segments to be eligible for Gold level. An additional 50% extra tier bonus is awarded to the members in Gold level.
A baggage allowance of extra 10kg and 20kg are permitted for the Silver and Gold Elite members respectively. Among the other facilities are some premium services like priority check-in, entrance to first class passenger lounge, preferred seating arrangements etc.
