Qatar visa is mandatory for any visit purpose to the country. Without a valid visa and a passport with minimum six months validity, a person is not allowed to visit the exotic country. Different types of visas are issued by the country to meet the various requirements of visitors. The duration and validity of the visas vary according to the needs of the people intending to visit the Middle East country.
Qatar Visa is mainly of three types:
Business Visa: Mainly business professionals are eligible for this type of visa. The organization to, which the person is attached, can apply for the visa. Usually, the visa is obtained within 24 hours with a validity of 14 days. On emergency basis, these business visas can be extended till three months.
Tourist Visa: An application to the Qatar Immigration Department Visa Section has to be submitted via any registered hotel in Qatar. These visas are valid for two weeks and can be further extended to another two weeks. On arrival Qatar visa facilities are applicable for some selected 33 countries of the world. These visas are granted on arrival at the Doha International Airport.
GCC Residents Visa: On arrival visas are granted to the residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Qatar. Valid for 14 days, they can be extended for more 14 days.
Apart from these, the government of Qatar also issues Family Visit Visa, Residence Work Visa, Multiple-entry Business Visa and Work Visit Visa.
