Umm Salal

Umm Salal is the capital city of its region along with being an important municipality of Qatar. The bordering municipalities of Umm Salal include Ad Dawhah, Al Jumaliyah, Ar Rayyan and Al Khawr in its southeastern, northwestern, southwestern and northern areas. The Persian Gulf has its shores around the eastern borders of Umm Salal. Umm Salal in Qatar is the home of many historical places like Barzan Tower, the newly constructed town of Lusail located on the northern coast of Umm Salal.

Umm Salal is also famous as UmmSes Salal, Umm Mu ammad, Umm Silal Mohammad, Umm Salal Mohammad, Umm Slal Mohammad, Umm es Salal and Umm es Slal. It is situated at an altitude of 45feet or 13meters. The nearest cities and towns to Umm Salal include Umm al Qubur and Umm Salal 'Ali in the north; Al Kharitiyat and Al Khisah in the east; Umm al Afa'i in the west and Al Khuraytiyat in the south. The airports placed in Umm Salal are Doha International airport, Al Udeid airport, Shaikh Isa airport and Bahrain International airport.

The municipal headquarters of Umm Salal is placed at 15km from the north of Doha. A few important places in Badaliyat Umm Salal are Abu Thaylah, Anaiza, Aneiza, As Sani', Ra's Abu Fintas, Raudat al 'Ayuz, Rodhat-al-'Ajuzah and Umm Qarn.
