Qatar or officially the
State of Qatar an emirate in Middle East is bordered by Saudi Arabia. The State of Qatar has ten municipalities or provinces. The
Qatar Provinces are as follows:
Ad Dawhah
Al Ghuwariyah
Al Jumaliyah
Al Khawr
Al Wakrah
Ar Rayyan
Jariyan al Batnah
Ash Shamal
Umm Salal
Mesaieed.
The province of Ad Dawhah has the capital of the country, Doha.
Qatar Province, Ad Dawhah borders the municipalities of Al Wakrah in the south, Umm Salal in the northern zone and Ar Rayyan in the western side. In the eastern side of this province there is the Persian Gulf.
The province of Al Ghuwariyah has the Persian Gulf on its western side. It is bordered by Al Khawr in the eastern side, Madinat ash Shamal in the Northern side and by Al Jumaliyah in the southern side.
The province of Al Jumaliyah also has the Persian Gulf in the western borders. The density of this area is 2.1 square kilometer and the population recorded in the year 2004 was 13,085 people.
The province of Al Khawr is surrounded by land from three sides. This municipality was ruled by the tribe of Al- Thani before
Qatar got independent and is continued to be so. The majority of the citizens in Al Khawr belong to the tribe of Al-Thani. This province has many historically famed mosques.
The province of Al Wakeah has a population of 31,009 people as recorded in the year 2004.The density of the place is 40 square kilometer.
