Qatar Charitable Society


Qatar Charitable Society or QCS is one of the organizations in the Union of Good. It was established in the 1980s. The Qatar Charitable Society is an Islamic institution. Some of the beneficiaries of the Qatar Charitable Society are Hamas affiliated institutions in the various territories administered by PA.

In 1999 however this Qatar Charitable Society was accused for helping the Chechen Islamic terrorist organizations. This voluntarily working organization provides a helping hand to those in need be it an individual or be it building mosques and Qur'an learning centers and opening schools. They also collect charity, gifts and alms and distribute these to the poor people inside as well as outside Qatar.

The various fields of activity of this private establishment are providing houses and shelters, providing food, training and education to the poor and the needful. The Charitable Society of Qatar is also engaged in supplying materials for the purpose of building and construction. Computer equipments are also provided by this organization. The main office of this society is located in Qatar.

The Qatar Charitable Society is a non governmental organization involved in Qatar charity and social work. The society also gathers funds for the Al-Adha Feast sacrifices, also known as the Al Udhiya Feast sacrifices. Other such organizations include Qatar Red Crescent Society, Sheikh Jassim Bin Jabor Charity Establishment, the Organization for the Propagation of Islam and the Social Development Center.
