The State of Qatar is actually a member of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council, the Arab League and the United Nations. The State of Qatar follows the Islamic religion and it derives its traditional values from the Arab and Muslim Culture. The streets at Qatar are safe and secure for the people and the private property can be maintained without any fear of getting wantonly destroyed. Qatar's legal system of law has been derived from Sharia Law. Criminal offenses are found very rarely.
Regarding the climate, the people of Qatar experience long and hot summers and short winters with small amount of precipitation. In the North West of Qatar some hills can be found and otherwise the general landscape is flat in nature. Vegetation is scanty and consists of mainly those plants like cactus and other thorny bushes, which needs little water. These are found in the northern part of Qatar. The prices of commodities, cost of living, prices of edible items are inexpensive as compared to the other gulf countries.
The shopping scenario of Qatar offers unique experience to the customers and here bargaining is a common phenomenon. The modern shopping centers offer variety of consumer goods, which range from house hold items to electronic gadgets. The prices offered are more or less affordable. Shopping malls remain opened from 8 am to 10 pm. The Arab markets, which are called 'souqs' remain opened from 8 am to 12 pm and again from 4pm to 9 pm.
