Design of Portugal Flag
The flag is divided into two parts vertically. The hoist side of the flag is green, which covers 2/5 of the length of the flag. The 3/5 of the flag is red. At the point where the two rectangles meet, a traditional Portuguese coat of arm is placed. A white shield is pictured within a red shield, which is bordered by yellow bands. The white shield contain five smaller shield colored in blue.Significance of Portugal Flag
The green part of the flag represents a very famous Portuguese explorer named King Henry and the green symbolize the internal revolution that took place during the early 1800.
