University of Lisbon Institutes
There are four primary institutes of the University of Lisbon.
The Bacteriological Institute Câmara Pestana
This University deals with biology products, clinical microbiology diphtheria and streptococci. The University produces anti tuberculosis vaccines. This institute was formed in 1892 and it incorporated with the Universidade de Lisboa in 1911.
The Geophysics Institute Prince D. Luíz
This institute deals in the field of meteorology and seismology. The institute carries national and international studies on scientific data. It also carries research work on seismology, actinometrical science and geophysical prospecting.
IOP
This institute deals in the field of psychosomatic tools. It carries research on professional counseling.
ICS
This institute of social sciences deals with social phenomena's in Portugal.
The University of Lisbon has attracted students from all over the world for its specialized courses.
