Oswiecim is a town, situated in the southern part of Poland. This Polish provincial town of Oswiecim is popularly known by its German name “Auschwitz”.

Oswiecim has about 45,000 inhabitants and is considered to be an important regional centre for trade and industry. However most of the Polish people and the people across the globe usually associate this place with its concentration camp, but beside this there are some other reasons to visit Oswiecim.
