Bieszczady Mountains


Bieszczady Mountains are indeed a traveler's paradise, especially for those who have a romantic heart and have a fascination for enchantment and thrill. The people expert in hiking can also go for this marvelous trip to Bieszczady Mountains. Tarnica is the highest peak of this Bieszczady Mountains. It is completely covered by typical alpine meadows named "Poloniny". Zakopane, is the biggest tourist resort centre in Poland that lies at the feet of this rolling hills.

Bieszczady Mountains seem to be uninhabited. One can walk through the vast alpine meadows as well as can hike up the rolling mountain ranges. While traveling across this wonderful, majestic place one can come across several mountain huts situated miles away from any human settlements.

Situated amidst the lap of nature, Lake Soliƒskie has been drawing a load of sailors and boaters. The most preferred and indeed convenient starting points are situated in Ustrzyki Dolne and Wetlina.

The major attractions of this Bieszczady region cover the 100 year old narrow-gauge railway line joining Przyslup with Majdan. This rail passage offers a splendid view of the panoramic landscape dashed with enchanting little Orthodox timber-made churches.

Bieszczady Mountains are located in the south-east part of Poland, on a border with Ukraine and Slovakia. This is thought to be the wildest territory of Poland and the most attractive portion of the hill is protected by the Bieszczady National Park.
