Peru politics has has been oscillating between democracy and military dictatorship in the recent times. Peruvian politics have been mostly in the control of the presidents of Peru as they are the holders of a large amount of power in this presidential form of government. There are a large number of political parties in Peru. Some of these are Change90-New Majority, Union for Peru, American Popular Revolutionary Alliance etc.
