Paraguay Ferry

On 9th July, 1909, a law was issued that authorized the 'The Paraguay Central Railway Company Limited' to create routes over the Parana River by combining its lines with the surrounding countries. The Company was also ordered to construct bridges and start the ferry of Paraguay.

The ferry links of Paraguay continue with the surrounding countries like Bolivia, Argentina and Brazil. The water route, that the tourists can avail to reach Paraguay from Argentina is the Posadas (Argentina) - Encarnacion (Paraguay) route. While taking the ferry service through this route, the tourists can enjoy the scenic beauty of both the countries. This particular route stretches for 321 kilometers. The tourists to take this route gets across the provinces of Corrientes and Misiones in Argentina. Ultimately, the Paraguay ferry take the tourists to Resistencia after proceeding over the Parana River across a bridge.
The ferry at Paraguay also makes it possible for the tourists to reach Paraguay from the Brazilian city of Corumba.
