The Universidad Americana of Paraguay was established in 1994. The university is based in two locations: Ciudad del Este and Asuncion. More than 3,000 students study in the Universidad Americana in Paraguay. The knowledge is imparted by 200 full time professors. A number of experts visit the university as visiting faculty.
The Universidad Americana has four teaching departments:
- Department of Economic Sciences and Administration
- Department of Sciences of the Health
- Department of Law and Social Sciences
- Department of Communication, Art and Technology
