The Solidarity Party of Panama is one of the smaller political parties of the country that exist as a fragmented group. It is also known as Partido Solidaridad. The party belongs to the cluster of numerous political parties of Panama that do not have an exclusive entity of their own but function as parts of a coalition.
In the May 1994 elections, the Solidarity Party was a part of the coalition that formed the opposition. It functioned in a merger with the National Liberal Republican Movement, the Christian Democratic Party, the Authentic Liberal Party, the Arnulfista Party, and the Liberal Party.
In the last legislative elections of Panama held in May 2004, the Solidarity Party achieved 15.7 % of popular vote. It also accomplished 9 seats out of a total number of 78 seats. Guilleromo Endara, a member of the Solidarity Party, achieved 30.9 % of popular vote at the presidential elections of Panama held in the same day.
The Solidarity Party of Panama has little chance of achieving power alone. However, it may rise to the forefront as a part of a coalition with other stronger political parties.
