Palestinian Airlines is the national carrier of the Palestine autonomous region. The airline operates a limited number of commercial passenger flights to neighboring Arab countries like Egypt and Jordan.
The Palestinian Airlines company is wholly owned and operated by the Palestinian Authority. The airline commenced commercial operations from 1995. The principal revenue earner of the airline is the pilgrim routes that the airline operates from El Arish International Airport in Egypt. The initial hub of the airline was the Gaza International Airport. Gaza International Airport is presently non-operational.
Palestinian Airlines employs two Fokker 50 airplanes to operate commercial passenger flights. Each aircraft has a seating capability of 48 paying passengers. The airline company is a member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization.
