Kishon River is also one of the important rivers of Palestine. Kishon River in Palestine is known by the name of Nahr Mukata by the Arabs. The name Nahr Mukata means the Stream of Slaughter. The river Kishon of Palestine has the source at the southern side of the Mount Rabor.
The Kishon River in Palestine after coming out from the Mount Rabor floes to the south west direction through the Jezreel valley and then through the mountain crests to the Akko plain which is close to the base of the Carmel and finally falls in the Mediterranean Sea.
The water of the river Kishon is very clear and is usually green in color. In the summer season the depth of the river is not much and it takes the shape of a small steam. But when there is rainfall in the winter season the water in the river increases to a large extent and the entire valley of Jezreel gets covered with water.
