The trend of E-Learning in Palestine is growing rapidly as more and more students are eager continue their studies in spite the many difficulties they have to face.
Most of the Universities in Palestine are introducing the E- learning course in the syllabus and they have been invited by the British Council in Scotland. E-learning courses in Palestine are no more luxury but it has become a necessity. The new E- learning courses offered are very innovative and effective.
Distance education has become mandatory in Palestine as many students face the problem of traveling to the education centers. Problems such as limited sources,scarcity of experienced teachers are slowly being overcome to gain E -learning access.
The Birzeit University has started the Ritaj portal,which provides on line information on the administrative and material services to the students. The Islamic University of Gaza has also started an E – learning center ,which offers on line teaching content to the students. On line training facility for the staff is provided and sharing of expertise with video conferencing is also encouraged.
