Railways, Pakistan commonly known as the Pakistan Railways or PR is an average mode of transport in the country. The network of the railway transportation system in Pakistan is very small and this is because majority of the people in the country prefer to travel either by bus or private vehicles. The ministry of Pakistan railways is working hard so that they can enhance the service in a broader way. There is a noticeable improvement in the condition of all the infrastructures related to the railway transportation like, the signaling facilities, maintenance of the stations, construction of new stations and good infrastructures and facilities in the train.
There are two main services that the Rail transport in Pakistan provides. They are:
- There are goods trains- the freight carrying trains to different places in the country.
- There are passenger trains- carrying people to different places.
Railways in Pakistan is continuously upgrading its facilities. The updated technologies are used by the rail transport of Pakistan along with the modern facilities and services.
