History of Pakistan


History of Pakistan dates back to the 3000 B.C., when Indus Valley was civilized. Around 1700 B.C., Pakistan was invaded by the Aryans from Central Asia. After change of several emperors and rulers, Pakistan faced the First battle of Panipath between Babar and Ibrahim Lodi in 1526. This is how the Delhi conquered Pakistan. In Pakistan History, Delhi Sultanate includes the Khalji dynasty as well as the Tughlaq dynasty.

By the 19th century the British came into power and kept on ruling till 1947, when after independence, Pakistan and India were partitioned. This is when Pakistan was born as a separate country. Prior to the partition, Pakistan was a part of India.

Pakistan Punjab

Due to the partition, a part of Punjab state went under India while the other part went to Pakistan. Thus the state was divided among two countries. India has east Punjab while Pakistan got West Punjab. The culture of Pakistan Punjab is quite similar to that of Punjab in India. The only difference is that the number of Muslim population in Pakistan Punjab is more, whereas there is hardly any Muslim residing in Punjab in India.

Facts about Pakistan state that the official name of the country is Republic of Pakistan. It became a republic on 23rd March in 1956. History of Pakistan thus went through several dynasties under several rulers to be what it is today.
