Pakistan Culture and People

Pakistan culture and people reflect the tradition and heritage that was passed on to the nation after its independence from the British Rule. The nation born was intended to house the entire Muslim population of India.
As such the culture of Pakistan is similar to that of the Indians, especially the northwestern parts of India but the other predominant factor that decides the Pakistani culture is the fact that the country is populated by a majority of Muslims, which is the national religion. Pakistan culture refers to all aspects of national life including the social conduct in Pakistan, the culinary art of Pakistan, the literature, the music and the festivals they celebrate.

PAKISTAN CULTURE

The main feature of Pakistani culture is their social etiquette. Usually it is a family bound society, where the man woman relation is extremely conservative to the extent that if a man should gift a woman with flowers, then he should mention the name of a woman on whose behalf he is gifting the flower. Polygamy is practiced by the people of Pakistan.

PAKISTANI PEOPLE

Pakistani people like Indians come from different races; though the variation is not that diverse. The major races that constitute Pakistanis include Punjabi, Sindhi, Pathan and Baloch. The migrants of India who had settled after separation are referred to as Mujahirs. Though a whopping 70% majority of people are Muslims, there are significant percentages of Hindus, Christians and certain other minority religions as well.
