The Olympic Venues truly display the Brazilian spirit , art and culture in its unique essence display the Olympic spirit. The Venues are artistically and asthetically impressive. The infrastructural development for the Olympic games is really impressive . There are 34 competition venues where olympics events are going to be held out of these there are 18 venues that are currently operating. 7 venues will be temporary while 9 venues will be built.

Located in the south western part of Rio de Janerio ,the Barra Zone is be the main area for the Rio olympics and Paraolympics Games. It is one of the most beautiful areas to host the games. The Rio Olympic Park, Maria Lenk Aquatic Center,Olympic Aquatics Stadium,The Olympic Village are all present in this zone. There are major construction works going on around this area, be it new venues for the olympic events or the transport network or the major requirements for the olympics. There will be a Olympic Training Center which will promote and train the olympics Sports in Brazil. The Olympic Park is located in this zone. It will be built on the former Brazilian grand prix track.
Located in the Rio de Janerio's southern area, It has a long sea beach which is a major tourist destination. The main venues here are Copacabana Stadium, Fort Copacabana, Flamengo Park.
Located in the Rio de Janerio's northern area, the maracana zone has two mainvenues -The Sambodromo and Maracana Stadium. The Maracana Stadium was built for the 1950 World Cup. It is one of the main tourist attractions in Rio de Janeiro. It will host the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics Games.
Located in the Rio de Janerio's western part , the deodoro zone has many venues where the games events will take place, they are National Equestrian Center,National Shooting Center,Olympic Hockey Center,Olympic Bmx Center . It will host other competitions including modern pentathlon, shooting, equestrian, cycling and fencing.
