Cycling (BMX) at 2008 Summer Gamesis one of the most adventurous cycling events of the world. The event of Cycling (BMX) will be introduced for the very first time in the history of summer Olympics in 2008 Beijing Summer Games. BMX or Bicycle Moto Cross is that version of motocross in which non-motorized cycle is utilized. The bike cycles are used by the participants of BMX Cycling. The diameter of these bike cycles' tires is 20 inches. Most of the frame of the cycle is padded. But, the cycle should not be equipped with any chain guard, any type of bolted on gear or any kickstand. The participants of Cycling (BMX) need to perform any daring kind of move - jumping, freestyle while on their bike cycles.

This format of sport is quite popular in Japan, Europe, US. This sport is a huge craze among the youngsters throughout the world. A maximum entry of 48 competitors is allowed by International Olympic Committee (IOC) in the event of Cycling (BMX) in 2008 Beijing Summer Games. Of the 48, the maximum women entry can be 16 while the male entry can be 32. The US BMX cyclists are expected to dominate this sport in Beijing Summer Games. The renowned US BMX cyclists include Donny Robinson, Kyle Bennett, Jill Kintner, Mike Day, Randy Stumpfhauser.

In 2008 Beijing Summer Games, the Cycling (BMX) will be held on August 20 & 21. The IOC expects a huge spectators' response on those days.
