The Games were officially opened by Roh Taewoo . The athletes uttered Olympic oath led by Hur Jae. Judges took Olympic oath led by Lee Harkae . In the stadium, the Olympic Flame was lit by Sohn Kee-Chung, Chung Sunman, Kim Woutak and Sohn Mi-Chung.
