HRH, the Crown Prince, Haakon lit the Olympic Flame in the stadium . The Lillehammer Games were the only Winter Olympics , which were held two after the preceding games. This was because the International Olympic Committee decided not to hold the Winter Olympics in the same year as the Summer Olympics .
