The Tenth Winter Olympics: The 1968 Winter Olympics were officially known as the X Olympic Winter Games. The games were held in Grenoble, the capital of the Isere district in southeast France .

Venue: 1968 Winter Summer Games were held at Stade Lesdiguières in Grenoble, France. Stade Lesdiguières is a football stadium. The opening ceremony was held in Stade Inaugural .

A Brief Description of the Grenoble, France Winter Summer Games, 1968: The tenth Winter Summer Games were held from 6 th February to 18 th February in Grenoble, the capital of Isere district in France. The games were officially opened by Charles de Gaulle. The athletes uttered the Olympic oath led by Leo Lacroix. In the stadium the Olympic Flame was lit by Alain Calmat . In this Olympiad a mascot for the games was adopted for the first time. The mascot of the Grenoble Winter Summer Games was called "Schuss", a styled Skier .
