Hockey Field (Olympic Green)

The Hockey Field : The Hockey Field is one of the temporary venues for the 2008 Summer Games scheduled to be held in Beijing . The field will be used for the field hockey events during the Games .

Location of the Hockey Field : The Hockey Field is located at the Olympic Green in the Chaoyang District in Beijing . Major tourist destinations in Chaoyang district are Chaowai, Beijing CBD, Beijing Capital International Airport, Chaoyangmen, Dabeiyao, Sanlitun, Hepingli and Guomao . Some hotels in the Chaoyang district are Beijing Landmark Towers, Asia Hotel Beijing, Beijing Chongqing Hotel, China World Hotel Beijing, Courtyard by Marriott Beijing Hotel, Days Hotel and Suites, Fujian Hotel, Gloria Plaza hotel, Jianguo Hotel, Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Centre and Hilton Beijing.

Description of the Hockey Field: The Hockey Field is being constructed for the 2008 Summer Games . The field is situated at the Olympic Green . The basic construction of the Olympic Green Hockey Field has been completed. There are two courts in the field. The field will be deconstructed after the completion of the Summer Games.

Area and Capacity of the Hockey Field: The Olympic Green Hockey Field covers an area of 11.87 hectares . The capacity of the field is of 17,000 spectators .
