4x200m Freestyle Relay (Men)

4x200m Freestyle Relay (Men) has been an important swimming event in the Olympics since a long time. There are various other types of swimming events that are hosted in the Olympics. Freestyle in the most common swimming form and is opted by swimmers all over the world. 4x200m Freestyle relay involves four swimmers, who cover the total distance. When one swimmer covers the first 200m, he passes on the baton to the next swimmer and in this way, four cycles of 200m each have to be covered.

4x200m Freestyle Relay (Men) is also an important event in Beijing Summer Games 2008. The swimming events in Beijing Summer Games will commence from the 9th August and will continue till 21st August, 2008. All the swimming events except the swimming marathons will be hosted in the Beijing National Aquatics Center.

Freestyle Relay (Men) 4x200m requires all the swimmers to be prompt and quick. The distance to be covered is also longer, 200m. Four laps have to be covered, that means total of 800m have to be covered. Medals are awarded to the winners of the event. Australia and the United States of America are two countries that have excelled exceptionally well in this event in the previous Summer Games. In the Beijing Summer Games 2008 too, teams from these two countries are strong contenders for winning.
