Not a part of the Olympic track and field events any more, the Individual Cross County was a regular event in three of the early editions of modern Olympics. The once popular event was included at the 1912, 1920 and 1924 Summer Games. Although, the Individual Cross County does not feature in the Olympics nowadays, it is still a game of reckoning. The annual USATF Junior Olympic Cross Country Program witnesses the participation of thousands of athletes from different countries.
