The city of Anju (officially known as Anju-si in North Korea) has lots on offer for the tourists to release their pressure from their daily lives by its natural beauty. The prime attraction for the tourists in Anju is the flow of the Ch'ongch'on River that flows through the bank of Anju.
The tourists prefer to take a boat ride through the Ch'ongch'on River to reach the Rangrim Mountains of Chagang Province. The Ch'ongch'on River flows through the city of Anju to empty into the Yellow Sea at Sinanju. The boat ride can even reach the tourists to the point where the Ch'ongch'on River kisses the Yellow Sea. The renowned river of North Korea, Ch'ongch'on River takes a course of 217 kilometers. The tourists feel obliged to explore such a magnificent river when they reach the land of Anju.

A city in the South Pyongan Province of North Korea, Anju is positioned at the coordinates of 39.62° N 125.66° E. To the north of Anju lie North P'yongan and Chagang while South Hamgyong and Kangwon border the east and southeast respectively. Move to the south of Anju and find the important centers of Anju, North Hwanghae and P'yongyang. The western flanks of Anju are occupied by the Yellow Sea and Korea Bay.

The ideal time to visit Anju are the months of May, June, September and October. These months will help you avoid the menacing winter and incessant rainfall.

The tourists can conveniently reach Anju from Pyongyang. The scheduled flights of the North Korean airline Air Koryo and China Southern take the tourists conveniently to Pyongyang from Beijing. And once you reach Pyongyang, it is only a matter of few kilometers ride that takes you to Anju.
