Korea Location

This article intends to provide brief information on Korea Location, which goes like this. Korea is divided into two regions, known as South Korea and North Korea. The northern part of Korea is a state of East Asia. Northern part of Korea is delimited by two riversides of Russia and China, known as 'Duman' and 'Amnok' respectively.

The borders of North Korea are like this:
  • To its north is Russia and China
  • To its south is Southern Korea
  • To Its east lies Japanese Sea
  • To its west Korea is bordered by Korean Bay and Yellow Sea

The latitudinal and longitudinal location of North Korea is 127°00'E and 40°00'N. The region of northern Korea is expanded on a total area of 120,540 kilometer. Around 90 % of the total area is dry where as the rest of North Korea is covered by water.

The Korean cape is widened over thousand kilometers towards south. The coastline of the Korean peninsula is tremendously lopsided of which North Korea itself has the half of it. The North Korea is also connected with more than three thousand island to its south and west coasts.

Topographical location of Korea

The topography of Korea is mountainous and isolated by slender valleys. The highest summit of Northern Korea is a volcanic mountain, situated by the Chinese border and height is around 1400 to 2000 meter above from sea level.
